Some of My Other Kites My Passion for Deltas The first ripstop nylon kites I made were deltas. There was just no getting around the performance and simplicity of these kites. After making a few that flew very well I started to experiment. I was looking for combinations of the following criteria: Wider wind range with gusts Light wind flying Easy transport for traveling Easy to fly	A scalloped delta with an extended keel and a clipped wing delta.
Though I could not achieve all the criteria in a single kite I did come up with some interesting and fun kites. Excellent information on delta kite design and building can be found at: http://www.deltakites.com/ Here are some pictures:

Could not take the high winds.	soarKite02.JPG This Soaring Kite is square and not considered a delta. Even in small versions it was more stable in a broader winds. The keel spar could fold.
